Architect Designer:
Under the supervision of a licensed architect, the architect designer will draft drawings and details. Will assist in developing and maintain 3D models (SketchUp Rhino & Revit models) used as a tool in the design development process. Assist to develop the project with team leader & create the plans, sections, elevations and details by using AutoCAD. Assist in managing design projects from concept development through to completion. Prepare drawings, blueprints, specifications, construction documents and make any necessary corrections. Assist in preparing and presenting design proposals to clients. Adjusting designs and plans to meet the client’s needs. Design of different types of structures. Collaborate with different consultants such as structural, civil engineers, etc. in order to develop the design. Prepare feasibility studies such as site research, environment research, and materials research. Collaborate in the design vision and develop design documents and construction documents for review and presentation to internal and external teams including client group and design review boards. Compile project specifications. Contribute to daily tasks such as organizing and creating new project files, downloading, uploading, maintaining printed drawing sets for office use, plotting and printing drawings, etc. Interface with other discipline team leaders. Assist in document interpretation and submittal reviews during bidding and construction administration. Prepare tender and planning application and presentations. Produce details drawings from which costing are made. Make site visits to check on progress. Attend regular meetings with clients, contractors, and other specialists. Collaborate with the firm’s project and leadership teams. Assist the team communications with project related consultant and vendors. Maintain materials and samples library and obtain new samples for new materials research. Prepare and document required code research for project. Keep within budget and timeliness. Attend project meetings as necessary. Follow architectural trends and advancements. Must be able to use Microsoft office and software programs such as AutoCAD, and Revit. Must know building codes and regulatory standards. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. 18 months experience. Travel is only required at times to visit construction sites in the Los Angeles county. 40 hours a week. Job Site & Intvu: Monrovia, CA. Salary: $56,930.00 per year.
